ERC project kick-off in Katowice — partners from Poland, Bulgaria and Romania during the meeting

On 23–25 June 2025 we launched the project “Empowering Rural Communities: Youth-Led Spaces for Transformation” in Katowice.

As the Social Media Group (project coordinator) we hosted partners from Bulgaria and Romania. Over three productive days we aligned our plan for the months ahead and agreed how to make the most of rural youth spaces with and for young people.

During the meeting we:

  • finalised the timeline and roles within the consortium,
  • kicked off the practical guide for youth workers,
  • mapped international mobilities and pilot activities,
  • exchanged good practices and strengthened team cooperation.

There was also time for a short walk around Katowice and informal conversations — often where the best ideas start.

With ERC we focus on inclusive, youth-led spaces where young people build skills, agency and a stronger voice in their local communities. A strong start — and more to come.
